Growing Our Space: Introducing Our Third Procedure Room
At Healthcare on Collins, we’re always looking for ways to improve the experience of patients and support Health Practitioners in delivering the highest standard of care.
With three nurses working every day, it became clear that we needed to make better use of our existing space. So, we set ourselves a challenge: could we create a third procedure room?
The answer was yes!
We have now created our third procedure room, giving our nursing team the additional space they need to work efficiently and allowing us to better accommodate our patients throughout the day.
With more procedures, such as IUD insertions, skin cancer excisions, biopsies, iron infusions and wounds dressing, it was important to provide more dedicated space. This follows investing in a gynaecological examination couch last year.
And this project really was a team effort.

Our Directors might not have been moving the walls themselves, but they certainly rolled up their sleeves for the finishing touches! From painting the room through to setting up all the furniture and wall fixtures, they were hands-on in getting the new space ready.
We’re delighted with the result. The new procedure room means more flexibility for our nurses, improved workflow for the practice and, most importantly, another comfortable and purpose-built space for patients.
It’s a small change that makes a big difference — and another step forward in our ongoing commitment to compassionate, comprehensive healthcare on the highest quality.
