Minor Procedures

As Midtown Medical Clinic and now Healthcare on Collins has been in the CBD of Melbourne for over 35 years and over this time the doctors and nurses have performed countless minor procedures.

We have well-equipped treatment and procedure rooms where highly skilled doctors with the support of our practice nurses can perform minor surgical procedures under local anaesthetic. These procedures may include such things as mole excisions, repair of lacerations, fibreglass casts for fractures, and contraceptive implants in addition to many other types of conditions that have passed through our doors over those years.

So that we can ensure your maximum protection, we use only single-use disposable surgical instruments. Please note that a separate fee is charged for these instruments. So, when you come for a consultation, please don’t hesitate to ask about the cost of these instruments. We want to make sure you have all the information you need before making a decision.

Should you have any concerns regarding having an injection which may be necessary in your management, please refer to the information on our website on ‘Needle Phobia’. There you can read all about Mary-Anne, our senior practice nurse here at Healthcare on Collins. Mary-Anne has done advanced training in helping patients with needle phobia and is an absolute marvel in putting your fears at rest!

It goes without saying that some ‘minor’ procedures such as lacerations can occur without warning and should this ever happen to you or someone you know, please come in as soon as possible and our friendly administration staff and nurses will get you comfortable until the doctor can see you.

For any non-urgent minor procedures, you can call us on (03) 9650 4284 and speak to one of our team members. You may otherwise like to book here.
