Stephanie Hayward
Exercise Physiologist - M. Exercise Rehab, B. Applied Sports Sciences
Since achieving Honours in my Masters in Exercise Rehabilitation in 2007, I have dedicated 15 years to helping my clients achieve rehabilitation goals, with pain free movement. My experience spans over 25,000 consulting hours in clinical practise, business owner and senior clinician of my own centres for 15 years.
I specialise in:
- Chronic disease management
- Preventative health
- Lower back pain
- Lateral hip pain
- Shoulder rehabilitation
- Osteoporosis
- Pre -post surgery rehabilitation
- Kids’ strength programs.
My committment to the value of exercise rehabilitation flows from my own experience as an elite calisthenic athlete where I successfully competed at the national level. I learned early in her life that the correct exercise rehabilitation will improve my performance and prevent injuries. This has led to my great passion and interest in exercise physiology to help the rehabilitation of other athletes and people with ongoing injuries.
My focus is corrective functional exercise prescription, physical fitness and strength & conditioning programming, applied as both preventative medicine strategies and for injury and disease management and rehabilitation.
I also have extensive experience in assisting clients with specific health concerns such as chronic pain, chronic fatigue, Type II Diabetes and obesity, exercise induced asthma and osteo-arthritis. I have over 18 years experience working in both private and multidisciplinary practices specialising in musculoskeletal health and rehabilitation.
I thrive on researching and developing diverse, effective and innovative exercises for a wide array of injuries and age groups. I aim to develop efficient rehabilitation programs for my patients to successfully achieve their goals and return to their physical activity or sport as possible. I believe in connecting with clients to understand their personal stories and concerns in order to identify the primary injury causes or disease and subsequently, the most appropriate program.
