I graduated from Deakin University in 2008, and since this time and before I joined Healthcare On Collins in 2017 I have worked in various medical clinics, private hospitals and two VFL football teams. As an experienced clinical and sports dietitian, I am dedicated to helping clients achieve sporting performance, health, and wellness goals.

I have a special interest in fueling for endurance events including distance running, cycling, short and long course triathlon and ultra endurance events. As a marathon runner and triathlete myself, I have experienced firsthand the many issues endurance athletes face. Along the way I can honestly say that I’ve learnt from my own nutrition and training mistakes.

Over the years, I have developed a special interest in gut health, especially irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and the low FODMAP diet. I am passionate about ensuring my clients are supported at all stages of their journey and receive personalised advice whilst being guided through an elimination style diet (if appropriate). I also specialise in nutrition for bariatric surgery. The focus of my work is centred around performance, wellness and quality of life, rather than weight and body composition. However, should any of my clients require body composition assessments (skinfold measurements) they are available on request if appropriate.

At your initial consultation, I will conduct a thorough assessment of your diet and lifestyle, including any medical concerns that you may have, training history, your current training program, stress and energy levels, sleep, lifestyle, eating behaviours, food likes and dislikes and meal patterns. From there, we will work out the best action plan for your situation. This may include a meal plan, meal ideas, portion guides, education around specific topics, mindful eating discussions, eating behaviour investigations, hunger awareness discussions or the prescription of an elimination diet.

In my spare time, I love creating delicious recipes, training and racing long course triathlon and rock
climbing. My favourite foods are chocolate mousse, goats cheese and pomegranate (in that order!).
