At Healthcare on Collins we welcome the introduction of Hotdoc’s new online prescription and referral service.

This is a service that is available only for existing patients.

It is a simple way for existing patients to organise regular prescriptions of medications and necessary referrals for specialists without the necessity of a face-to-face or telehealth consultation.

If you require your regular medications sent to you via e-script, then for a small fee, you can jump online and send a quick message to your regular GP who can assess your request. Likewise, referrals to specialists that you have seen before can also be organised in this way.

For safety reasons, new prescriptions and new referrals that have not been discussed previously with your GP are not available using this service.
If your regular doctor is unavailable at Healthcare on Collins, feel free to send a message to another member of the team who can then assess your request.
Ideally it would be preferable that you have been seen at the practice in the previous 6 months to ensure that prescriptions and referrals are appropriate for you.

You may select more than one medication with each request. Prescriptions for drugs of dependence are not available via this service.

This service does not replace regular consultations and important discussions with your treating physician. It complements the traditional GP visit and adds a more convenient way for you to organise prescriptions and referrals without the need for an appointment.
