Professional Summary:

I graduated with Honours from Monash University in 1997 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2002.

After starting my general practice career in Melbourne, I travelled and worked in the Sydney CBD, and then in central London for the next four years. The clinics that I worked at specialised in sexual health, travel medicine, preventative health and skin cancer. With the addition of women’s health, these aspects of medicine remain my areas of interest to this day.

I have also previously been an examiner for the RACGP.

I joined Healthcare on Collins in 2011 after returning to Melbourne and working in corporate health care whilst starting a family.

I commenced as a regular surgical assistant to breast cancer surgeon Dr Chantel Thornton at the Epworth Hospital in October 2016. Since that time, I have extended my special interest in benign and malignant breast disease by also consulting at Specialist Breast Cancer Surgery in Richmond where I help to coordinate the Breast Cancer Survivorship Program.

I also provide surgical assistant services to other specialities such as ophthalmology and plastic and reconstructive surgery.

I enjoy providing patients with a comprehensive approach to their physical and psychosocial health, and believe that patient-centred care is key to achieving the best outcomes for each individual.

I have 2 daughters and a ragdoll named Chocolate, and I enjoy reading mysteries, hiking, travelling and seeing musical theatre. I hope to one day walk the entire 774km Spanish Camino trail.
